I uploaded my candids of Christian from this past Saturdays Axxess session! I was lucky enough to meet him after randomly jumping on a line during a switch of superstars. My friend Karina of R-Mysterio.com asked when he was coming back to which he replied ‘soon hopefully!’.

The rivalry between Edge and Christian, The Dudley Boyz, and the Hardy Boyz was listed at number 8 on WWE’s list of the 10 greatest rivalries of WrestleMania!

Edge & Christian and The Hardy Boyz redefined how the WWE Universe looked at Ladder Matches in fall 1999. It became destiny that they would meet again. But a curveball was thrown at them when the table-obsessed Dudley Boyz joined WWE that winter. The three teams met in the first-ever Triple Threat Tag Team Ladder Match at WrestleMania 2000. With the ringside area covered in twisted steel and broken wood, it was Edge & Christian who emerged with the World Tag Team Titles in hand.

The three teams met again one year later, at WrestleMania X-Seven in the match that would become their calling card: Tables, Ladders & Chairs. In a melee that left the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats, The Rated-R Superstar and Captain Charisma, with an assist from Rhyno, reclaimed the titles once again.

Christian has been officially announced for a WrestleMania Axxess session for Saturday April 6th from 6-10PM.

If anyone is planning to attend this session and can donate photos please let us know!

While we unfortunatley got no photos, WWE.com posted a little flashback to their old training camp The Funkin’ Dojo. I’ve posted the write up about Christian below.

Also, I again want to apologize for the lack of updates on the site. I could very easily blame it on the fact that Christian isn’t on TV, but honestly it’s more that real life is in the way. Two jobs and a site like my Edge one hasn’t left me much time, which means this one gets pushed to the side. I promise to update as often as I can, and hopefully I’ll be able to do weekly updates again when Christian FINALLY returns!

Dory Funk had great admiration for Captain Charisma from the second he walked into the dojo. The WWE Hall of Famer knew that Christian was dedicated to success after hearing stories of how he and Edge used to drive across frozen lakes in Canada to get in the ring and get more experience.

“He came ready to learn,” Funk said.

Attending several dojos in summer 1998, Christian not only impressed Funk with his talent, but also some of his fellow trainees. One in particular, with an Olympic pedigree, thought Christian would have been a success in any field.

“Kurt Angle said that Christian would have made a fabulous amateur wrestler,” Funk said. “I think he would have too. He had the drive and athletic ability to do anything he really wanted to.”

It was that drive that propelled Captain Charisma to superstardom. After winning the WWE Light Heavyweight Title in his debut match, Christian went on to win the World Tag Team, Intercontinental, European, Hardcore and ECW Championship. His most recent accolade is, perhaps, the crown jewel of his career, capturing the World Heavyweight Title.

Captures have been added to the gallery from the 1999 Survivor Series PPV. Christian and Edge teamed up with the Hardy Boyz to face off against The Holly’s and Too Cool.
