Christian had Damien Sandow scurrying to the outside after a barrage in the early going. That’s exactly where the self-proclaimed “Intellectual Savior of the Masses” found an opening to launch a return attack as Sandow slammed Captain Charisma repeatedly into the steel ring steps. Brodus Clay grooved down the entrance way in an effort to distract Sandow, but Christian couldn’t keep his opponent down for the count with a small package. Sandow then nailed Christian with a head-snapping, cross-armed neckbreaker to win the match, followed by a celebratory cartwheel while The Funkasaurus looked on angrily.

Despite cruising into the arena in a magnificent Ferrari, Alberto Del Rio was forced to leave the luxury car in the back as he had only minutes to prepare for an impromptu match after he insulted Raw General Manager AJ Lee. The Mexican Aristocrat tried to take his aggression out on Christian in the ring, but Captain Charisma was fully ready for the challenge. Christian hit a flying crossbody off the top rope on Del Rio and pulled off a couple of nice reversals before Ricardo Rodriguez eventually swung the momentum of the bout with a timely distraction. With the ref’s eyed peeled away from the action, Del Rio smacked Christian in the head with his boot and made him quickly submit to the Cross Armbreaker. If you’re keeping track, that makes two weeks in a row where we’ve seen a shoe used as a surprisingly dangerous weapon.

Emotions were riding high as Dolph Ziggler and Intercontinental Champion The Miz joined forces to take on their newfound rivals, Chris Jericho and Christian, in an action-packed tag team matchup.

As the two teams battled for the early advantage, Christian took to the air and launched a flying crossbody on both The Miz and Jericho on the outside. Captain Charisma continued to take risks, jumping off the top rope to hit Ziggler with a high elbow when the action returned to the ring. Ziggler reversed the momentum of the bout with a swift superkick on Christian, and The Miz proceeded to punish him further with a big boot to the face after getting tagged in.

Christian would find the opening he needed to make the tag when he caught Ziggler in mid-air as he attempted a leg drop bulldog and planted The Showoff with a powerbomb. Jericho unloaded on Ziggler with a springboard dropkick and then nailed a Lionsault on The Miz.

Just as The Awesome One appeared to regain control, Christian caught him by surprise with a thumb to the eye, and Jericho followed with a Codebreaker for the victory. Ziggler got the last laugh, though, when he blasted Jericho with the Money in the Bank briefcase from behind and snickered as he stood over The Mental Mastermind.

Bret “Hit Man” Hart, serving as guest ring announcer, told the crowd that one of the greatest moments of his career was when he defeated Mr. Perfect for the Intercontinental Championship. The Excellence of Execution introduced Christian and his mystery opponent, The Miz, much to the WWE Universe’s surprise.

Christian threw caution to the wind early in the matchup by leaping onto Miz from the top turnbuckle with a flying crossbody. The daring maneuver took its toll on the Intercontinental Champion, however, as he landed hard on his knee. The Awesome One then targeted Christian’s weakened joint while on the arena floor and slammed him into the steel ring steps.

Christian borrowed a page out of his former tag team partner Edge’s book by attempting a Spear, but found himself on the receiving end of a vicious DDT. Like a shark sensing blood in the water, The Miz kept up the attack and stunned Captain Charisma with a Skull-Crushing Finale for the victory.

Christian is on a serious roll since his return at WWE Over the Limit. The new Intercontinental Champion keeps racking up victories, his latest triumph coming against The Miz in impressive fashion. Cody Rhodes sat ringside to provide scathing commentary on the match, but left before he could watch Captain Charisma take to the air with an explosive frog splash for the win.

The new Intercontinental Champion is proving he’s ready to be an all-out workhorse. Christian, just one day after participating in a 20-Man Battle Royal and shocking Cody Rhodes, made his return to Raw to defend his title against Jinder Mahal. Less than 24 hours after competing in two intense battles at WWE Over the Limit, Captain Charisma rallied back against Mahal and hit the Killswitch. Christian didn’t go for the pin there, however, opting to finish Jinder off with a surprising frog splash for the emphatic victory.

Christian tried to make a surprise attack on Punk from behind, but it was the enraged WWE Champion who quickly took out his aggression on Captain Charisma. Punk had to be separated by WWE officials after he repeatedly smashed Christian into the announce table, then refused to let go of the painful Anaconda Vise.

Christian made a surprise appearance on this past Monday’s RAW to present a slammy award for ‘Game Changing Moment’.

Ever notice how much Sheamus looks like Beaker from The Muppets? It turns out it’s not just a passing resemblance. When The Celtic Warrior stopped Christian from bothering Beaker and Bunsen as they prepped their latest science experiment, he gave his puppet doppelganger a knowing nod before adding, “I’m afraid I can’t make it to the family reunion this year.”

Wade Barrett continued to breathe new life into his career tonight as he teamed with the sinister Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes to defeat the WWE Tag Team Champions. Not content just to claim the victory, the SmackDown villains laid waste to Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston after the bell with some help from the underhanded Christian. The trio’s beating may have caused some serious damage if it wasn’t for the last minute heroism of a very aggressive Sheamus.
